Doomtek: The first night of its kind in Sheffield as cavernous guitars face off against relentless tek/techno. A multi-genre night of harrowing, soundtunnel proportions.
Kurokuma – Their first gig back after a hiatus. An ideal chance to catch a band who play at the cliff face where doom metal meets the musical void.
Bodies On Everest – A dual-bass noise juggernaut out of the dungeons of Liverpool. Elements of kraut rock and sludge coalesce around an uncompromising nightmare pulse.
Then DJ sets from:
Vicecaptain Velcro – From the depths of the abyss there came a growl, a doomroar, a vibration of the earth. A stampede, an incessant heartbeat filled the air and they were engulfed in a rapture of 180bpm.
Jimmer – Delving into the basin of hypnotic dark techno. Headz down kidz.
Kwaitek – Barang! resident Kwaitek playing a set focused on the ‘tek’. Expect mental tribe tekno, acid core and frantic African suprises
KKTA – Kom originally hails from the surrealist techno heartlands of Birmingham and tonight will reluctantly eschew soca and ONLY play hard techno. She demands a ‘single-minded dancefloor, no standing around texting your mates’.
